Former Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Enoch Teye Mensah says he supports the initiative of government to make Senior High School education free for all Ghanaians.
Speaking on 3FM’s morning show, Sunrise, the veteran politician said that, “I will go for Free SHS. We have oil etc. We must find the money, we can find… When Nkrumah didn’t have oil, he gave us Free SHS.
So, for that one, I support it 100 percent”. He told the host of Sunrise, Winston Amoah that Ghana owes its greatness among the global community to the Free Education policy initiated by the country’s first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
He added that Nkrumah didn’t care about one’s political colour or background in the implementation of his free education program, for which reason Ghana could readily find skilled workmen from all walks of life.

ET, advice your NDC ooooo They are the only people against it. They know that once people get education, ----------- Fill in the blanks. By the way, are you looking for post from Nana?
What was this chameleon ET Mensah doing with all the number of years he spent within the PNDC /NDC governments when he had the opportunity to advocate for free education as a policy ; this is man including most people over the ages of 55 years today who enjoyed free education but joined a party a criminal party called NDC including Jon Mahama and most northners occupying responsible positions today; today Nana Addo has shown the light for a full blown free education which he believes will help the nation ; then comes along this historical relic and an intoxicated kleptomaniac riddled with the cancer of lies ET Mensah suddenly singing the praises of Nana s Addo policy of free education ;the question is why could not the NDC implement such policy for the long 8 years that they were in power but rather waited to imported cars which they recently auctioned at the state expense ; ET MENSAH YOU SHOULD MAKE YOUR INTENTIONS CLEAR AND TELL THE NDC THAT YU ARE NO LONGER PART OF THEM ANYMORE AND THE YOU HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT AND HAVE TODAY JOINED THE NPP PARTY !!!!!!!
Go and educate ur people who enjoyed free education from nkrumah but dont want our youth to enjoy some today cos they want that cash to be shared among them instead. they will soon insult u for supporting a good decision but this one de3 i say gye wo hi 5 for speaking sense small
And yet some ***barred word*** Ghanaians are against the usage of the heritage funds to educate our children today to be able to manage what ever may be left. Are those against saying that our illiterate children can manage this funds in future? Then Ghanaians should expect the NDC way of management. We have lot of heritage reserves such as our forest reserves, water bodies, gold and many other heritage funds, and because high illiteracy it is being mismanaged. Today we criminals and crocks branching into politics and chieftaincy institutions, because one needs know educational qualifications except loud mouths. Therefore in order for our children to manage our heritage funds they must be educated today. Heritage funds is not only the percentage oil fund lying in the account but it includes our forest reserves, water bodies and mineral reserves which some ***barred word*** crocks and criminals who carried themselves as politicians and chiefs connived with foreign nationals like Chinese to destroy. We will continue to see the NDC style of management if our children are not educated today.
