President Akufo-Addo will in the coming days announce a list of almost 50 individuals to serve as deputy ministers in his government.
According to starrfmonline.com sources, the list which has already been prepared, is likely to be released later this week following pressure from within the New Patriotic Party.
The Finance, Energy and Local government ministries will all have three deputies each, assisting the substantive minister.
Prominent among the deputy ministerial appointments is former MTN marketing head George Andah and a former radio host Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah.
The addition will make the Akufo-Addo government the biggest, in terms of size, since the 4th republic.
So far, 46 ministers have been vetted and sworn into office.
The previous NPP government led by former President John Kufuor had 88 ministers while the Mills administration that preceded it had 69 ministerial appointees.
The Mahama administration however had 78 ministerial appointments.

Old or ***barred word*** pictures, H.E. Akufo Addo is the one one Ghanaians overwhelmingly voted for instead our 'handsome and vibrant' Mahama to run this country. In the next 4 years, the options are that you deal with these 'old' and 'not looking good' pictures or stop looking at them in the print media or TV. I just can't understand why we have become so petty. Elections have consequences. Your party lost. Please deal with it and don't drive yourself insane. Life is not all NDC/NPP.
If with Kuffour's 88 ministers he did ten times better than what both Mills' (69) and Mahama's (78) ministers did, then how can you justify the worth of small governments? What Ghanaians want is a government that will work. Your unfounded criticism will not distract the President from his vision.
Hon. Kwesi Biney is my best bet for Deputy Local Government Minister. He has a vast track record in local governance. He is firm, fair and a very principle man. He can do the job better
this is job for the family members but one thing i want him to know is that ghanaians are not ***barred word*** . why is the media always this man's old picture and current pictures. you can not deceive the people of ghana. we all know this old man is not looking good in picture in recent times
PEACEFM CALL FAKE AND NPP ***barred word*** KUSI BOAFO TO COME AND DEFEND THIS TOO
This is purely job for the boys. Is this the small government he promised the people of Ghana?
Nana show boy, appoint and abolish as you so wish
