Audio Attachment: Listen to Kwesi Pratt Jnr. |
Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt has cautioned both the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to politicize the issue at the Electoral Commission.
Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Kwesi Pratt stated emphatically that what is currently transpiring at the EC is purely a matter of personality clash between some members of the Commission and devoid of any conspiracy programme by either of the two leading political parties.
According to him, the EC issue is very delicate in that aside the staff accusing the Chairperson of the Commission, Charlotte Osei of her involvement in acts of misconduct that bring the image of the Commission into disrepute; the EC Chairperson is also caught up in a feud with her Deputies.
Kwesi Pratt noted that, per his investigations, the EC Boss doesn't see eye to eye with her Deputy and another executive at the Commission; hence making her a target.
He also explained that if the three persons (EC Boss and the Deputies) don't stop their internal wrangling, it may have serious repercussions for the Commission.
He believed the infighting could debase their credibility and further deepen the rift among them.
“The more you probe into these matters, the more you deepen the rift amongst the Commissioners. The more you raise the temperature in the Commission. The more you divide the workers. The more you cause credibility problems for the Commission,” he stressed.
Mr. Pratt therefore warned against any partisan tags on the issue, saying "there is no umbrella and elephant in this".

Uncle Kwesi Pratt why can't you look Haruna Iddrisu in the face and tell him to refrain from making irresponsible and infantile comments on this issue.
Tell that your good not nothing NDC guys who are so desperate and will say anything to get attention. The chairperson is very arrogant that is why she is having problems with the other commissioners. Her "darling boy" Mahama is not in power so the earlier she change her attitude towards the other commissioners the better for her. She should learn to be respectful when discharging her duties. He posture during 2016 election what not the best at all.She came across as a very not well brought up person.
Ei Mr. Pratt! For once something good came out of Nazareth! Hmmmm
terminate the appointment of the other two who are causing the drama
It is NPP doing that. They want to remove everybody that came into office through the former President John Drammani Mahama.
Prat is a deep thinker.
THIS ISSUE OF EC WAS WELL PLAN BY NPP. PLEASE NPP FORGET ABOUT YOUR BAD PLANS
Nobody has discussed this issue perfectly so far than Mr. Pratt has. I listened to him carefully the other time on Peace FM and trust me, he gave the best analogy. Sometimes, well, most times i personally disagree with him on certain issues but not this one. NDC out, NPP out of this case. I was rather taken aback by the comments one of the few gentlemen in the NDC, Haruna Iddrisu. His comments were not him if his past life is anything to....
Everyone knows it is the npp witch-hunting the EC commissioner, period
NDC IS SICKK IN MIND AND CORRUPT SO THEY CANNOT UNDERSTAND ANY INVESTIGATION OF ELECTORAL COMMISSION OFFICE. WHY SHOULD NOT NDC ALLOW EC TO BE INDEPENDENT TO FIGHT ITS OWN FIGHT. WHY SHOULD CORRUPTION CASE RAISED AGAINST EC BOSS BECOME POLITICAL FIGHT FOR NDC. IF THE PETITIONERS HAS VIOLATED ANY LAW LET EC BOSS AND HER LAWYERS CHALLENGE THEM TO IT. NDC IS BEHAVING IRRESPONSIBLYYY AND SHAMEFULYYY AS IF THEY HAVE NO MATUREDD AND INTELLIGENTTT PERSON IN THE PARTY TO ADVICE THEM. THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR RULE OF LAW AND THEY ALWAYS ACT AND REACT IRRATIONALLYL AND EMOTIONNALLY. NDC MUST REMEMBER THAT THEY WORLD IS MOVING AWAY FROM SOLVING PROBLEMS WITH VIOLENCE TO ADDRESSING ISSUES WITH REASON AND RULE OF LAW.
