Former President John Dramani Mahama has described as “shocking” the death of his former Vice, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.
John Mahama in a tweet said “Shocking! No! PK was only last Saturday actively involved in our party’s constituency elections in the Central Region. Very sad Friday!”
Mr Amissah-Arthur became the vice-president a week after Mahama was sworn in as president after the sudden death of President John Atta Mills on 24 July 2012.
Amissah-Arthur was sworn in as vice-president on 6 August 2012, following vetting by Parliament.
He died on Friday, 29 June 2018.
Reports indicated that he collapsed at Airforce Gym on Friday morning during a workout session, and was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

too many economic questions for 1 man to answer, why wont he run out of breath?
What will it profit man..... and John Ford gave all our diamond reserves to his brother in a b0gus contract just a week to him leaving office. We will leave all the things we have stolen from our country in this world. We will not take them along when we die. John Ford and his double salary appointees must learn from the demise of the former vice pee......
THE COMMENT OF ALLOTEY JACOB BLAMING AMISSAH ARTHUR AS THE CAUSE OF ABYSMAL PERFORMANCE OF NDC IN CENTRAL REGION SADDENED HIM TO DEATH. ***barred word*** POLITICAL TALKS AND COMMENTARIES DO NO GOOD TO THE COUNTRY.
You should be the one rather learning.........
When will we learn as a people. Piling up all the money in Ghana for yourself, family and friends is completely unnecessary. If I were you, I will just learn from this incident and that of Atta Mills and just live as a statesman life as a former prez. I will not let Kofi Adams drag me into the muddy, dirty politics again.
The message is simple. "Man never is" nipa ns3 whii". Good name and good service is all that matters. Serve God with all your heart.
