Kumbungu MP Ras Mubarak has said he will start riding a bicycle to parliament from Tuesday, 6 November 2018, as a way of drawing attention to the hard times experienced by ordinary Ghanaians vis-à-vis the constant rise in the price of fuel products at the pumps.
“Doing a 17-km bicycle ride to parliament from tomorrow as a way of highlighting the increasing cost of fuel and harsh economy under the NPP gov't.
“Life is tough for ordinary Ghanaians”, Mr Mubarak wrote on his Facebook wall.
Under the deregulated pricing regime, the prices of fuel see a change every two weeks. The prices, most often, go up.
There have been a few times that they have either remained stable or dropped.
About a month ago, the prices of fuel hit the GHS5 per litre mark sparking discussions about the difficulties and hardships Ghanaians are going through under the Akufo-Addo government.

Only 17 kilometres? He should ride from his rat infested village in the North to parliament. That is when we will know he is Captain America. When world prices of crude was at its lowest that was the time the NDC was increasing the price of fuel and claiming it had nothing to do with government. F*cking hypocrites.
Like someone cares!! He can ask his in-law to follow him with an okada. Matwcheeeeeeee koraaaaa.
POLITICIANS ARE ALL THE SAME. BOTH BED AND MOP THEY ARE ALL ***barred word*** AND ROBBERS. LET SOMEONE TELL GAS TO NOT ONLY WALK BUT HE SHOULD CRAWL AND ROLL.
why just 17km. You better do the 650km journey from Kumbungu to Accra.
You are not better than the people of Kumbungu who ride bicycles to their farm and offices. If you ride a bicycle it is no news In fact that is what you should be doing all this time. After a week I will urge you to use the motor bike to Parliament. YOU ARE NOT ABOVE YOUR CONSTITUENTS?
He can even sit on a Truck like Kayayo people, no one cares! Fuel prices is always going to be determine the forces of demand and supply.NDC can not deceive Ghanaians anymore like they did in 2008.
Anyway its good for your health. So this is not news.
