Newly-elected Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has vowed to ensure that the party wins back political power in 2020.
Delivering a victory speech on behalf of all newly elected executives of the party at the just ended 9th delegates’ conference of the party which took place at the Fantasy Dome of the Trade Fair Center in Accra, Ofosu Ampofo said his administration was ready to work hard for the party’s victory in the upcoming presidential elections.
“My administration is poised for action. One thing we want to assure and promise the NDC fraternity is that we are going to work 24 hours around the clock and promise you that by 7th January 2021, the NDC will be going to the Flagstaff House.”
He also pledged to ensure a cordial relationship between the party and the media.
The NDC would want to assure the media that under my chairmanship, we will fix a very cordial relationship with the media, he said.
Mr. Ofosu Ampofo, who until the election was the First Vice Chairman of the NDC, defeated Dan Abodakpi and three other aspirants; Alhaji Huudu Yahaya, Danny Annang, Betty Mould Iddrisu to become the party’s new leader.
A former Member of Parliament and Minister of State, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, who was the Director of Elections for the NDC when it performed abysmally and lost the 2016 presidential polls, is certain that the NDC will return to claim power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its President, Nana Akufo-Addo.

Don't mind Ofosu Ampofo. He is a serial loser in national elections. Ask him about his failed attempts at becoming MP for either Fanteakwa or Tema West. As Director of Elections, he supervised the biggest NDC loss in national elections and then joined hands with 'you know who' to declare comfortable lead. NDC IS READY FOR HEAVY DEFEAT IN 2020!!!
don't worry you are a candidate for jail come 2019 so continue running your mouth, all the fraudulent deals you did when you were a minister is there and ready for special prosecutor to deal with you. I am sorry you would not be there when your is steered deep into opposition after 2020
I can see the thing coming after the 2020 General Elections. WAIT OOOOOO, IT WOULD BE REVEALED
In your dreams.
Very funny, ndc thieeeves coming to power again? Do you think Ghanaians have short momories like odwanfunu mahhhama said sometime ago? Wait and see, your 44%is going to drop to 30%in 2020. Tweaaaaaaa
How can a loser like you take corrupt ndc back to power when you have lost two(2) elections to become mp? If you know how to win elections you would have win for yourself to become mp long time ago. Nobody want corrupt and incompetent Mahama to be a president again in Ghana. Go and look for land and do planting for food, it help you than helping ndc to lose miserably in 2020
Could@nt win Tema west/Fanteakwa seats, what makes him think he can win national election with his dead party.Talk is cheap,wo so kabi
