Commenting on the charges proffered against the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe said on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' show that the matter should not have been taken to court considering what has been said by President Akufo-Addo in the past and nothing happened to him.
“This matter is a matter that should never get to the court. We are all in this country and our President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo met NPP party members and said something that in Atiwa, we showed a little of our colours; basically glorifying violence which took place in the Atiwa by-election at the time,” he argued.
He stressed that “nobody said they were taking Nana Addo to court to prosecute him for whatever he said to his party members”.
He however admonished President Akufo-Addo to think of the ultimate peace of the country as a leader and not reduce serious business like criminal prosecution to making the NPP and its foot soldiers happy and excited, as this will destroy the sacrosanct office of the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General.
“ . . We are reducing a serious business like criminal prosecution to making a political party and its foot soldiers feel happy and excited, then we are destroying the sacrosanct office to prosecute . . . the ministerial powers which the Constitution allows the President to control, the only one which the Constitution makes it clear is the article 88; the office of the Attorney-General. It is such an important constitutional office . . . that the makers of the Constitution gave a lot of respect to that office,” he indicated.
Meanwhile, an Accra High Court hearing the case of Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has adjourned it to May 16, 2019.
Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo appeared in Court on Tuesday over a leaked tape involving him in the company of his lawyers: Abraham Amaliba, Tony Lithur, Dominic Ayine and Edudzi Tamakloe, as well as some kingpins of the NDC including former President and Presidential Candidate of the NDC, John Mahama.

All die be dieeee! Is the most violent statement any political leader has ever made in this country. Nana Addo was virtually inciting NPP supporters against the government. He said they shouldn't be afraid to fight the government and die in the process. Nana Addo must apologize for the all die be dieeee statement because he Nana Addo was beating war drums! I believe he was desperate to win at all cost because he had sold his father's house in London for campaign, so it was an all die be dieeee affair for him to win at all cost, he wasn't thinking about the peace of the country.
If you have a president that believes in violence "all-die be die", in the end what happens?
Tamakloe,sh*ut up and stop whinning didn't you say you were ready for the court and what gas changed for you to whine?did Akufo Addo call a secret meeting to say that?what triggered the all die be die and this is a saying in the Akan language when they are angry and are fed up with something they say owuo biara y3 owu so we will face it and what's wrong about that? you sent azorka boys all the way from Tamale to Akyemland in the Eastern region to attack them and the Akyems chased them into the kwaebibirim they were lucky they would have gone to meet their ancestors! If you dont understand that one send him to court that's why the court is there! you think ndc are more human than others? when Nii Lante Vanderpuye proclaimed Odododiodio no go zone for Akans and started beating Akans with land guards what did the ndc say about that or you didn't exist then? but when Kennedy Agyepong retaliated by saying if this is the way you are going to harass Akans then this Akans must also retaliate in their cities and towns didn't you people bundled him up and sent him to the BNI charging him with treason? mo'ani so biribiri mo !
HAVE YOU SO SOON FORGETTEN? NDC TRIED TO JAIL MOST OF THE NPP BIG MEN BUT THEY COULD NOT BECAUSE THEY FIND NO FAULT WITH THEM. NDC TOO WEREKO BROBBEY, OSAFO MARFO, ASABEE AND THE REST TO COURT BUT THEY WERE ALL FOUND NOT GUILTY. BUT WAIT NDC, ERNEST THOMPSON, ALL THE CROOKS IN SSNIT, THE FORMER COCOBOARD CHAIR, WHO GAVE NAA AMARTEPE COCAINE TO LONDON AND HIS ACCOMPLICE, THE FORMER MASLOC CHAIRPERSON, TAMAKLOE ARE ALL GOING TO JAIL STRAIGHT. THEN THE SPECIAL PROSECUTOR WILL BRING THOSE WHO SOLD GOVERNMENT CARS TO THEIR FRIENDS AND CRONIES, THE DOUBLE SALARY ***barred word*** WILL ALL GO TO JAIL. 2019 WILL BE THEIR TIME TO FACE THE SPECIAL PROSECUTOR. AFTER ALL THESE TRIALS , NDC WILL BE NO MORE BY GOD'D GRACE AND GHANA WILL BE FREE FROM THIS SATANIC
My stop whining, if prof Mills and mahama had paid attention to the advice of Rawlings to jail them when ndc came to power in 2009, most of these guys harassing you wouldn't be around to frustrate you. You always talked about peace, peace, look at how nana addo and his people are making use of the power they have. Next time when you come to power obey some of the things Rawlings says.
