Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, the Member of Parliament (MP) for South Dayi constituency says President Akufo-Addo was not prepared for the Women Deliver Conference which was held in Canada.
President Akufo-Addo courted controversy on the women front when he said: "we are not seeing enough dynamism and activism on the part of those who are seeking. I am talking about dynamism where it matters…electing people to Parliament, controlling political parties because they are the instruments by which our societies make decisions...We are talking about decisions, not wishes and hopes, we are talking about decisions that are going to make the difference”
The women's wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are defending him, while that of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are demanding an apology.
Reacting to this on Joy Newsfile programme, Saturday, the South Dayi MP said: "Our president wasn’t prepared, he wasn’t briefed properly. They underrated it…His policy advisers needed to have given him the statistics…he was caught off guard. If he was properly briefed, he wouldn’t have come out like this"

TWEAAAAAAAA........ NDC! Always interested in their own theories. Bring out anything good that if voted for you will do in Ghana. CREATE, LOOT & SHARE party
Look at the man who supports Trokosi, has turned around accusing the most active president in the fourth republic. You can only be MP in the part of Ghana.
Peacefm, sometimes use your common sense to save Ghanaians from these idi*ots who are irritants! who want to hear from these people? and you in peacefm if the country is good even like South Korea like won't you enjoy and be proud ?so why give space to people with no ideas and vision but nkwasi*a akeka ne nkwas*easem nkoaa just to spoil our day! at least you people can be citizens but not the spectators you are exhibiting by ign*oring nonse*nse! If you would haven't as yet known the ndc not to be a political party but a kriminal organization who shouldn't be tolerated then I don't know! even the founder have found his party is no more a political party that seek the welfare of the people but think only of themselves so want the indemnity clause removed so they could be tried from the head to toe and if you haven't as yet known them and read into what former president Rawlings said then probably I hate to say but you one of them who benefit from their dealings! Ghanafuo ani abere eny3 agoro, we cant allow these people to destroy our country!

i am very disappointed that even people who call themselves learned are having a problem with what the president said. Is it not true? get to work and stop making noise.
I’m trying so hard to understand what the problem is. The truth is always bitter. President Nana Addo, you said it as it it. Kudos!
