The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) keeps accusing the Akufo-Addo led administration of creating insecurity in the country.
Former President John Mahama feels President Akufo-Addo should be blamed for failing to guarantee the peace and safety of Ghanaians.
The former President who was speaking at the final burial rites of the NDC Chairman for Daffiama Busie Issa constituency of the Upper West Region, Richard Bayiviala Polibong, “the way he died was tragic. We would have accepted it if he had fallen sick and died naturally but to have his life cut short through such a tragic event is not acceptable. Unfortunately, it is a reflection of the current insecurity that exists in our country. People are afraid for their lives because armed robbers have become emboldened and they’ve gone on rampage. We urge the Akufo-Addo administration to be up and doing. It is the duty of the government to secure the lives of its citizens"
However, Deputy Information Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide who feel it was a wrong platform to use in making such statements said the ruling administration has put things in place to make sure Ghanaians are secure in the country.
"Really? When government has provided over 400 vehicles to our security…the vehicles facilitate the provision of security in the country…former President should come again; he should speak like a statesman. It’s false to create the impression that there is fear in the country" he said in a panel discussion on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo', Monday.

If I were former President MAHAMA, I will keep commenting on every important national issue so that this clue-less NPP Govt would keep responding and exposing their incom-petence.
So Minister thinks that providing 400 cars to Police makes Ghanaians safe? Wow. Such childish ***barred word***. Me thinks this Minister thinks with his A.N.U.S.
There's a story on Ghanaweb about some new law laid in Parliament to regulate GMO's. It does seem they don't want comments on the article so we will post our two cents here. 60% of the most arable land on the planet, with the capacity to produce pristine unadulterated organic produce and the numbers to make it work to attract premium prices is the advantage and not GMO's. It must be rejected. Secondly, mechanization which is a component of effective agricultural productivity involves machinery, machinery of which the raw materials for it's manufacturing is present in abundance and requires value addition processes. In this regard, we have an advantage and not GMO's. It must be rejected. On the use of agricultural inputs such as fertilizer of which it's application per ha, is the lowest on the planet, we have the raw materials again for it's production. Indeed, on the continent, we have enough potash for example to last us over 300 years. What it needs is value addition to manufacture it and apply it, based on tests done on our soils by Soil Scientists from our uni's. In this as well, we have an advantage and not GMO's. It must be rejected. When it comes to irrigation to enhance food production, not much effort has been done to push agricultural productivity through the stratosphere and thus, our food security and nutritional requirements. Here again, we have an advantage and not GMO's. It must be rejected. The added benefit of all these interventions is the supply chains created, and the humongous number of jobs that will be generated with positive implications for revenue generation, taxes and expansion of the economy whilst addressing the youth unemployment bulge, regarded as a security threat. In terms of seeds for planting, farmers retain the power of seed banks and not the other way round. GMO's on every score is a disadvantage as opposed to organic produce, which in the final analysis attracts a premium and is healthy. It must be rejected.
John Mahama has never in his life spoken anything sensible. He has got a head big like pig but the brain matter in his cranium is like atom. How can a ***barred word*** baastard like this ***barred word*** talk any how? Anyway it is unfortunate that Ghanaians allowed this ***barred word*** president to rule great nation like Ghana. John mahama does not even fit to an assembly man. Due to lack of intelligent people in NDC, John mhama will always have his way. Jon mahama grow up
