Critics believe President Akufo-Addo was booed at the Global Citizen Festival held at the Black Star Square last weekend.
Renowned Journalist and the Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr., has 'come to the rescue' of President Akufo-Addo after the jeering incident at the recently held 2022 Global Citizen Festival.
President Akufo-Addo who delivered the keynote address at the event was met with loud boos and hoots from spectators.
The crowd can be heard chanting “Away!” as the President delivered his speech.
Boos dwarfed
Kweku Baako, in a text message read by Kwami Sefa Kayi during Wednesday's edition of Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', said "the President did not even hear or smell" that he was being booed.
"The boos were dwarfed by loud cheers," he pointed out.
According to Kweku Baako, a careful study of the full video of the event will prove that the boos were from a "tiny" group of people standing behind while those in front were only clapping and cheering.
"Their boos were inaudible," he stated.

Nothing happens during the NDCs' regims, and when the global festival is held in Ghana, the NDC, as an opposition party, feels very uncomfortable because it is projecting the ruling party, the NPP, in the global space instead of taking pride that it is promoting Ghana. Please note, and it's very true that ''frome nothing comes nothing''. Is that the militant machinery that will catapult the NDC into power? If that is the case, then the NDC underrates Ghanaians, holds them as politically uninformed, and very unintelligent. This is shameful, ludicrous, and a political party that could make such a vile pun would not scruple to steal the ballots.
Kweku baako, see, it is not about the number of people who booed at the president. Even if it were one person, the fact that a young can look the president in the face and tell him away, away, away means something is wrong. Fact is a lot of Ghanaians had trust and confidence in Akuffo Addo. We are in a global village and people know what's happening elsewhere. Even under the current difficulties if the president was on top of issues Ghanaians are decerning and they would have still supported him by making sacrifices. Unfortunately the president from his actions and inactions doesn't seem to appreciate the difficulties confrontation the people. He's too loose, his appointees are having a field day doing what pleases them and the president seems to be supporting them. We have seen presidents come and go so we can easily compare. I used to admire akuffo Addo a lot, but one is tempted to feel that he was overrated. If there were to be an election between John Mahama and Akuffo Addo today, bet me, Mahama will win. What the president seems not to appreciate is that if he hands over power to John Mahama in January 2025, he will go down as the most embarrassed president in Ghana's history. That will mean Ghanaians are saying that John Mahama with all his negatives is still better than Akuffo Addo. He should better sit up. The 2020 elections should have been a wake up call. For your MP's to drop from 169 out of 275 in 2016 to 137 in 2020 and your own percentage dropping from 53% to 51 and John Mahama's percentage appreciating from the 2016 figure of 44 to 47% in 2020 meant John Mahama was becoming popular again. This was even before Covid 19 / Russia vrs Ukraine. The NPP is shooting itself in the foot. The appointees are behaving as if there will no elections again. We have some appointees who have no child or children who will be 18 years by December 2024 and these are the people chanting ' we will break the 8' . Who's 18 year old son or daughter are you relying on to break the 8 for you? Who? If it were about money and incumbency John Mahama wouldn't have lost in 2018. So the NPP appointees should ask themselves how come a ruling party with all the resources at their disposal still went into an election and lost miserably? Even some people who have genuinely acquired wealth have had their wealth vanishing as if they have never seen riches before much less monies acquired through dubious means. This particular NPP is a big disappointment, a direct opposite of the John Agyekum kufour NPP. The NDC orphans are not laughing, the NPP who's parents are in charge of affairs are worse off. But for the current NPP we never knew the children of a woman who is the chief cook in a funeral home will sleep on hungry stomachs because the mother prefers to sell the food to other people for monetary gains than feeding her children, forgetting that it's same children she will fall on when the enemy attacks, no wonder NDC communicators are having a field day with NPP communicators struggling to defend on hungry stomachs, under kufour's NPP this couldn't have happened because his appointees never for once forgot where they came from.
The NDC's militant machinery of propaganda and lies will not wash. I can see breaking the 8 coming closer. I pray Ghanaians stay away from the negative NDC politicians. They have a problem for every solution and have no solution to any problem.
The full video of the whole event shows that many people were cheering on the president as some too were booing him so why do some want to see only a booing headline? Why do some Ghanaians only want negative publicity about the country? Which country will your favorite candidates govern after destroying your own country’s image? The country is hard but no negativity will solve the problem. After all, a broken Ghana will still pay the expenses of ex president Akufo Addo and his assistants. What happens to we the ordinary ones always pushing for negativity because of a temporal political power? Let’s all support to build.
EPESSIANS 6;1-4 for long life and peace for yourself , never insult but let your opinion reach out to the masses. Provide solutions because insults and disrespect do not provide jobs or security. if the leaders are wrong, we are all part and together we form the government. before you blame or point fingers, watch the rest of them. if any of the leaders are part of our families, there would a turn. i prefer we suggest and recommend solution to our problem and do our best to make Ghana a better place. Yen ara y'asase ni 3yE abo)den den mayen....... ma )man yi nhia wo, Ghana Man YE w'ara wo de3..........
Mr president you people are masturbating your brain and you keep ejaculated. Wake up, grounds are not good. U are being deceived and ur party will get the biggest humiliation in the history of this country in 2024 if nothing is done. You are practically failing
I pity the president, he is too immatured and his ***barred word*** have seen he is only interested in sweet vibes and they are giving it to him as such. His ego is always massaged which makes him feel good and I see he is suffering from a complex. He is the biggest disappointment ever to honor the presidency because almost all in the president including Kuffuor never enjoyed akuffo addo' good will. Infectious he has failed
Kwaku Baako, the biggest hypocrite of all time (HOAT). He like the NPP should continue tickling themselves in the balls and ejaculate as much as they can. It's obvious he and likes are living in glass house with bellies full hence so too remote to feel the average ghanaian's pain in these hard times. Time will tell if Nana Addo hear or smelled the deafening boos that evening international media heard and reported.
THIS ***barred word*** STOMACH JOURNALIST WHO WILL DEFEND ANY NONESENSE EVEN WHEN ITS CLEAR FOR ALL TO SEE....THIS IS THE TIME THE ***barred word*** PRESIDENT MET THE REAL PEOPLE NOT PRAISE SINGERS.....AFUKU ADDO IS THE MOST ***barred word*** PERSON IN THE ENTIRE WORLD
