Radio and television personality, Afia Pokua has observed that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s biggest test is not for delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Rather, she believes that after winning on November 4, 2023, he has the job of explaining to the people of Ghana why his government, regardless of the promises, failed to deliver to the people of Ghana.
“I saw Dr. Bawumia jubilating when he won the Super Delegates Conference. He should not be celebrating winning at his party because he has a bigger job to do now. After November 4, 2023, he will have to convince the people of Ghana why his government failed.
"He has a job to explain the various scandals that have embroiled the government, the economic crisis, and why Ghana went to the IMF when they said they would never go to the IMF.
"This is the time they need to sit up and find answers for the people of Ghana. This is not the time for a party. We all know you’re the favourite and everyone knows that Bawumia has invested in himself over the years. Bawumia has marketed himself well and has become the obvious choice," she stated.

Vim Lady also think like ordinary Ghanaians who only care about bread and butter. A hungry man is an angry man. But Ghana is not only Accra. Go to the villages and the towns food are in abundance. The economic hardship has affected over 90 percent of the world economy in which Ghana is no exception. I think sector by sector, this current government has done well, after all we do not have dumsor.
Much as I disagree with this basis for this comment it is a fair one. Tell Gyampo, the professor to learn from non professors like Vim Lady to make informed judgement and analysis and not thr faulty ones he's been making. It exposes our university.
Failed as in what? Are salaries not being paid, constructions here and there, and free SHS ongoing? Some of these all-knowing journalists are just too know
The politicians of Ghana know that over 90% of Ghanaians are tsupid! Even take a sample of the comments on the article: a good number are defending even what Bawumia himself will struggle to defend! Ghana's currency became the worst performing currency in the world safe Sri Lanka under this government and you want to blame that on locked borders? Was it only Ghana's borders which were locked? Inflation galloped to over 60% under this government and you want to blame this on covid-19? Unprecedented levels of corruption and galamsey at the seat of the presidency and you want to blame this on locked borders? Human rights abuses and brutalization of journalists and you want to blame this on locked borders? The only people defending this government are the beneficiaries of the corrupt system. I am not even talking about the deliberate collapsing of businesses perceived to be owned by people sympathetic to the opposition and you think this is due to locked borders? Ghanaians are just very dishonest people and we just like people who speak lies and have money. What the journalist wrote is the absolute truth! Bawumia asked Amissah Arthur(of blessed memory) 117 questions on the economy and depreciation of the cedi but he can't even answer any one of the questions he asked! He rode on the tsupidity of Ghanaians to power and he has realized Ghanaians are still tsupid and therefore he wants to be president! In another country where citizens are honest and hold leaders accountable without resorting to propaganda and blind loyalty Bawumia would have no moral right to stand for presidency! This can only happen in Ghana!
How do we and can we forget the fact that all businesses, airports, harbours, borders were all closed for months and STILL all government employees were fully paid.? Aba Vim lady! Vim lady is being paid very well in a failed economy. Electricity is on almost 24/7. Free senior boarding school is still going on to give chance for those who will never have had the chance to go to prestigious schools like Presec, Wey hey hey, Kwabotwe, Prempeh, Motown, Adisco, Augusco. It could have been better but no one should say the government has failed.
Those who have their ears on the ground knows that 'that the driver's mate is a very good driver but he's not the owner of the vehicle. The cousin of the vehicle owner is the one who collects the lorry fare from passengers, any time the driver mate makes suggestion as to what can be done to make the passengers comfortable, the cousin of the vehicle owner on realizing that such a suggesting from the driver's mate will not benefit him ( the cousin) will refuse to implement the driver's mates advice. It's like, even though you may be a good driver, this vehicle is not for you, my brother bought it and employed you as his "mate", wait, anytime you buy your own vehicle, you show your driving skills. Have you ever heard Bawumia commenting on the E-levy, bond holders saga, domestic debt exchange programme, suspension of payment of road tolls, IMF bailout ? This should tell you something. , when the times comes you will hear him.
F0.0lish talk..... Do you know what a failed government means? This government has done a lot for Ghana compared to the corrupt (P)NDCs close to 30years in power.
Eeeiii Seidu! Are you sure economic hardship is everywhere? Have you confirmed this from appointees of the ruling and the previous governments?
NOONESENSE!
Some of you think we wait for twerp like pokuaa to tell us how the country's economy is dwindling?. The bottom line is we'll vote npp out and they'll know they've failed. I wonder what makes them feel they'll be voted for . Jokers
