The Minority in Parliament has bid President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his Vice President goodbye during his State of the Nation Address (SONA) today.
The President delivered his nation address in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution which mandates him to address Ghanaians at the beginning and close of the every parliamentary session.
After touching on his government's achievements and giving updates what they intend to further do to better the lives of Ghanaians, the Minority Leader, Cassiel Ato Forson, who was to second the motion for subsequent debate on the SONA, seized the moment to jab the President and the Veep.
"A vote for Alhaji Bawumia is a vote President Akufo-Addo's 3rd term...Ghanaians voted for Vice President and are paying for the Vice President to support you to succeed. Mr. Speaker, the President cannot fail alone. So, Mr. President, you have failed with your Vice President", he hollered.
Speaking on behalf of the Minority Caucus, Hon Ato Forson expressed disappointment in President Akufo-Addo for not touching on the unemployment situation in the country.
He therefore cautioned the nation against voting for the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who seeks to succeed his boss as Ghana's next President.
"Ghanaians will not miss President Akufo-Addo and Alhaji Bawumia. We can only wish you bye, bye but you will never be missed", Hon. Ato Forson admonished.

Is this man trying to tell Ghanaians that Akufo-Addo's government is so bad that they wouldn't like to see any semblance of it? No wonder that is typical of the NDC propaganda machine; they believe they can use their mouths to undo everything. If the NDC is not aware of the massive infrastructure going on in the country, Ghanaians are pretty much aware. And they are going to vote massively for Bawumia to continue or compliment it in line with his vision, which he has made known to Ghanaians. So, if the NDC does not know death, they are looking at sleep.
A vote for Mahama is a vote for retrogression. A vote for Ato Forson is a vote for a fooI. A vote for Fiifi Kwartey is a vote for criminal.
We will prefer DMB (Akufo Addo 3rd term as you put it) to continue to resolve our economic situation to JM 3rd term to bring back dumsor. The man JM has really nothing new. He has done what he can and should remain a former president. Besides, why not compare head to head, NADAA's performance to JM's? We clearly prefer DMB, the lesser of the 2 evils
And what is wrong with that !!!!! NDC is a debt on Ghanaians
It baffles mind how some npp communicators have refused to reason. Your npp has failed, and you don't want ppl say it? What did Bawumia said said about the economy in 2016..
oh oh oh oh and hahahahaha. still no message. just focus on what is in the SONA. so when will ndc be serious at all, missing every opportunity and throwing dust into our eyes. your record is nothing to boast about and same as your candidate. ghanaians will never bring ndc back with this attitude, no message
This man again. Poor English and an ambulance tief. Gerrrooooout.
yea like a vote for John Mahama is a vote for the return of dumsor, create loot and share.
