When the issue of controversial political song is discussed on any entertainment platform, one name that easily comes up and can never be ignored is that of Barima Sidney a.k.a. Hiplife Ninja. He has recorded and released several controversial political songs.
However, considering the outright rejection of the highly political donkomi single by almost all media platforms in the country, controversial Hiplife artiste, Barima Sidney has revealed that henceforth, he wouldnt record or release any song political in nature. He made the revelation when he spoke to Sammy Flex on Flex on Pluzz on Pluzz 89.9fm over the weekend.
Barima Sidney who noted that there is a distinction between controversial songs and political songs, stressed in as much as he may release some controversial songs, he would ensure that he keeps away from songs that are highly political in nature.
He reiterated the earlier comment attributed to him that was carried in Flex Newspaper about the fact that he wouldnt waste any time to release any song based on the controversies surrounding the nomination list and other aspects of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Barima Sidney wont waste any time on VGMA controversies all because he is working hard in the studio to complete work on his newest album which is a follow up to African Money. The newest single monkey come down will soon be released by Barima Sidney. As earlier explained monkey come down has nothing to do with President John Mahama.
