All roads in the capital last night (September 26, 2015) led to the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra because highlife King Abrantee Amakye Dede stormed the place to perform alongside Ivorian music giant, Freddy Meiway.
Dubbed �African Legends Nights�, the much-hyped annual musical event which was expected to be one of the biggest and finest shows this year lived to the billing as all the performers gave the audience classical live band music.
The show opened up with Dela Hayes and her all-female band followed by Trigmatic who was the youngest art on the bill. Trigmatic knew the kind of audience he�s performing to and he exhibited pure talent and dynamism.
Gyedu-Blay Ambulley dropped a new song highlighting the corruption in society which got the audience excited. The "Simigwa Do Man" showed sublime display garnished with apt traditional artistry.
When the Ivorian megastar Freddy Meiway hit the stage with his �Lolo Girls�, the whole house went enthusiastic. The Zoblazo man�s performance got the audience including Ghana�s former First Lady, Nana Agyeman Konadu Rawlings dancing to his timeless music.
Abrantie Amakye Dede, the �SERIOUS� man didn't disappoint as he capped the night with one of his classical performances that the former first lady just couldn't help dancing.
The African Legends Night is an annual music concert to celebrate legends who have exhibited the successes of Africa through music. This year�s was the fourth edition in five years.
Organized by Global Media Alliance, this year�s show was sponsored by Kasapreko Company Limited, Stanbic Bank, Vodafone, Phoenix Insurance, Koppan Hospitality, African Regent Hotel and DDP.
