Chief Imam of Okaikwei South District, Ishmael Okotah Badoo is enraged by the prominence of the popular song and dance - ‘One Corner’. The tune composed by Swedru-based artiste Patapaa, has transcended the borders of Ghana and reported to have gained grounds in Nigeria, U.K and the U.S.A.
In spite of the feat attained by the song, the Chief Imam believes that the tune and its accompanying dance is demonic and needs to be uprooted. “It is demonic. If it is not demonic, we have been listening to a lot of music but people will not jump when a motorcycle is going…or by force climb a tree. This is very dangerous,” he asserted.
According to him, the dance craze is having a negative effect on children due to the absurd activities it encourages children to engage in.
“These are things that are coming to destroy our children on this land…” he said.
Chief Imam Ishamael Okotah Badoo states that the existence of ‘One Corner’ has polluted the environment in which people live and there was the urgent need to ask Allah for forgiveness. “We are begging the Imams, we are begging the Pastors, the Reverends…we are begging everybody…Let us go down on our knees and beg Allah,” the Islamic scholar pleaded. He added that Allah is a merciful God and will surely forgive Ghanaians for entertaining the demonic ‘One Corner’ craze.

Leave Patapaa alone and go study your Quran.
Another LAZY Chief Imman
even de bible says what we think is evil wil turn as evil unto us, our mindset is totally eveil.if de song is demonic pray over it n dance to it simple.patapaa didnt ask blackman to dance such to de song.
Another religious bigot who has nothing to say to Ghanaians. There are more important issues affecting Ghana negatively that this chief imam should address than One Corner craze.
Its not demonic, all those people just looking for self gratification, its just a creative act, its shall pass away according to the bible. what is demonic is Kwaku bomsam is doing his things free in Ghana, can the chief go to bomsam and prove to the moslim world that he knows what demonic is? all those saying its demonic are ***barred word*** of social advancement. I can bet my life is the same dancing were introduce by Chris brown, or Jay Z, nobody would have ever say its demonic. Go to carabbiens countries and withness the varnival celebrations.
Well, I do not think it's Demonic, if One Conner Song is Demonic, what will Akpateshie or other Alcoholic Drink be ?. I will personally not Dance to the Tune of One Conner Song. Whoever will Dance to it, do so for his or her own interest. Folks refuse to stands still, when National Anthem is being played. But will rather Jump across a Motor of Climb a Tree, for hearing of One Conner Song, then it’s their own palaver. I see no need of Prayers and Fasting to halt 1 Conner, it’s needless.
I don't think its satanic. its just a stupidd song with no lyrics.
Chief Iman I am a christian and I perfectly agree with you. This Pataapaa boy himself is satanic; his song is to create lust in the youth so their llives would be destroyed. The boy has no future and is parents should call him to order. He should withdraw the song and appologise and ask for forgiveness other wise he is on the way to destruction soonest.
Dastramete ! now lets see if the small boys can speak against Chief Imam like they do to others. I ryt here waiting.
