Actress Yvonne Nelson has commended ex-president Mahama for the expansion at the Kotoka International Airport.
In a series of tweets, Nelson expressed her excitement at the change she witnessed at the aviation spot including the new passenger terminal.
The expansion was to support Ghana’s ambition to “upgrade its vital infrastructure by modernizing and transforming the airport into a gateway for West Africa and as a regional aviation hub.”

Yvonne Nelson has hit the nail right. Give praise where it is deserved. Mahama built Terminal 3 and it has taken the new super-incomp-tent govt almost 2 years to recognise the work Mahama has done for mother Ghana. Lets welcome President John Dramani Mahama back in 2020. Well done, Mahama.
John Dramani Mahama, our own Man. A man of the People. We need you in 2020. ATUUUUUUU, Mahama.
Back come to us, John Mahama. The great builder of our time. Builder of Roads, Hospitals, Schools, Clinics, Airports etc. Please come back, Mahama.
from your position about tax and free shs, you should tell the whole world if it was mahama's money and not Ghanaian taxes that was used to built that terminal you are praising. you same people were condemning npp for reducing taxes on local air fares claiming it was only a move to benefit few elite class who patronize air transport. who is going to benefit from the airport anyway? not same elite class who can afford to travel by air?
fiifi kofi u are wrong. the terminal expansion is a govt project started by prez Mahama.at least, give him that credit.but every govt do projects.so we dont vote on that. we want free shs, electricity reduction, job creation, nabco,1d1f etc. this social progs help we the villagers n the poor who are majority in ghana.we the villagers dont need any terminal expansion.what do we do there. nana addo understand the villagers n the poor than mahama.
IF JDM STOLE MONEY AND JUST BROUGHT DEVELOPMENT COMPARES TO CRIMINALS WHO ARE ROBBING GHANA MORE BILLIONS OF DOLLORS AND CEDIS YET HAVE NO SINGLE THING TO SHOW FOR WHO IS BETTER. IT IS ONLY ***barred word*** AND ***barred word*** AS WELL AS PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE WARDS ATTENDING SCHOOLS WHO WILL SHOW THEIR IGNORANCE BY PRAISING THE SCAM "FREE SSS". IN FACT EVERY PARENT KNOWS THAT IT SCAM TO STEAL MONEY FROM PARENTS. I HAVE A WARD IN KUMASI HIGH AND A SPEND ONLY GHC 2,500.00 A PER TERM TO SUPPLEMENT FEEDING, PURHASE OF BLACKBOARD MARKERS, DUSTERS, FLOOR BRUSHES, MOPPING TOWELS AND ALL FANNY, FANNY THINGS THAT WERE NEVER HEARD OF IN THE PAST. IN ANY CASE, IT IS ONLY AN ADIOT OR A PERSON WHO NOT PAY TAXES WHO WILL CLAIM THAT THERE IS FREE EDUCATION BECAUSE, I AM TAXED EVERY MONTH ANYTIME THAT I TRANSACT BUSINESS TOWARDS EDUCATION. UNLESS AN ***barred word*** PERSON WANTS TO SAY THAT THE TAXES PAID BELONGED TO NANA FOR HIS PERSONAL USE AND HE THEN DECIDED TO DO GHANAIANS GOOD BY FUNDING EDUCATION.
My prayer is that Mahami will win power again and come and get the Cedi to go back to 3Ghana again or at least 4 ghana.
Dear Yvonne, please be informed that the expansion or otherwise the construction of the terminal 3 was purely done by the Ghana Airports co. and has nothing to do with Mahama. Again, it must be noted that it was started during his tenure and completed during Nana's tenure. please know that the fact that i built my house or did some expansion works during this current NPP administration does not mean it was the making of Nana Addo. give credit where credit is due kudos to the Ghana Airport Co.
if only u know how much has been stolen u would have wished this was never done. in fact it was projects like this one, the circle dubai, the ridge hospital, the schools and others that has left our economy in comatose. only ple with high IQ will understand why ndc lost 2016. in fact they just want to leave power bcos they knew they were sitting on a time bomb and will be in trouble if they hang on to power. they even said it that they gave power to npp. they have created so much mess that the ev1l was amazed bcos they did more he asked them to do. very ev1l ple that shd not be entertained in society
What a wonderful country. It is good that everyone can freely speak his mind. To all the NDC half-wits, in 8 years if all the major roads had been fixed, if huge debts had not bee left in all institutions,if the economy had not been left comatose, how would all the good works of Mahama been scuttled in 18 months? For every 10 dollars that Mahama spent on projects in Ghana he stole 40 dollars. My people try hard and let the kleptomaniac come back to power and we shall see where we get off.
