Social influencer and anti-corruption activist, Kwame APlus born Kwame Asare Obeng has posed three questions to investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to answer regarding the murder of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a protegé of Anas.
Ahmed was murdered on 16th January 2019 in his vehicle by two unidentified men on a motorbike. He was shot twice in the chest and once in the neck, as Anas reported.
APlus who is still conducting a test-transmission of his TV station, APLUS TV also asked Anas to come clear on the nature of his work, whether he is public interest activist or a mercenary for private use.
“The way you think you are smart in investigating corruption, kindly accept that Ghanaians these days are also very smart and probe deeply into issues. Nobody can fool Ghanaians these days. The questions people are asking are;
1. What time did you hear of Ahmed’s death?
2. What time did you find the video, edit it; add text and some “conscious music bi” and released it?
3. You are a lawyer. Which lawyer draws conclusions in the murder of someone before investigations begin?” APlus asked.
He continued: “what you did, in my opinion as someone who watches ID extra 24/7 looks more of a planned thing against Kennedy Agyapong. Some may blame him for unmasking Ahmed. But you also had to take your time and allow detectives to do their job. You have destroyed the whole process."
"You have yourself to blame. What majority of the people are saying is that you just wanted the public on your side in pointing accusing fingers at Hon. Ken to divert attention from the real killers. Go online and read comments for yourself.”
“Also, you are acting untouchable which makes some people angry. The fact that you fight corruption does not make you uncomfortable. Anybody can also fight or accuse you of anything. All you can do is to sue the person in court.” he added.
Kwame Aplus said while he believes Anas is doing a good job, there are grey areas around his work.
“As for me, I think you are doing a great job. However, if it is true that your investigations have turned into a commercial venture where people contract you to set people up for a fee, then you are not working for Ghana. You are working for your stomach. Private investigations is not a crime but if it is for financial gains, it comes with consequences you must be prepared for….”

Kwame u get sense roff
Thank God i am not alone on this...... i have always maintained that Anas' method cannot be hailed and praised as a true or genuine investigative journalism. You claim to be an investigator, plan to set people up in an appealing environment, then secretly place camera on the actors which include you yourself and when they act or react negatively you shout "I said it, I have caught him"!! it is like a referre in a match, is a player in the same match he is officiating, he is a linesman, the ball boy and the commentator!!! This investigations to me, cannot be credible compared to one the investigative journalist chances on films and reports. Time will tell anyway...... The corrupt guys too disgrace will forever be yours!!!
finally we are hearing from a plus, after silencing him with cash and post he is coming out accusing anas when he himself is a blackmailer. apuu tor
Dear A-Plus comma I am very happy this morning paa for this display of intelligence this morning. God bless you and i thought i was the only person who see Anas as a mafia but the comments i am seeing here makes me happy papapapapa. Anas is not doing Investigative Journalism, he is only enriching himself by disgracing people and he is seen as a hero unfortunately. But time will tell and posterity will surely judge him. One day one day we are all here God bless our homeland Ghana
A PLUS YOUR OBSERVATION IS VERY SENSIBLE.ANAS THINKS HE CAN FFFOOLL GHANAIANS.HE MURDERED AHMED BECAUSE THEY HAVE FALLEN OUT AND THINKS THE GUY WILL EXPOSE HIM.WHY IS KWAKU BAAKO ALSO SILENCE ON AHMED'S DEATH?WHY IS KWAKU BAAKO NOT DEFENDING ANAS THIS TIME?HE IS TRYING TO PUSH THE BLAME ON KEN BUT IT WON'T WORK.
Anas is really corrupt. He playing on the minds of everybody.
There was enough hours between when Ahmed died, and when Anas could have downloaded Ken Agyapon's treats from ***barred word*** and edited it. His death was 11pm at night, and Anas's video was somewhere in the morning. Ahmed died in Madina where his people live. It shouldn't take more than an hour for Anas to be notified. I suspect A-plus, and Kennedy Agyapong in killing Anas. God will reveal them soon. Ahmed was killed related to no. 12 video. Kwesi Nyantakyi, Ken, the referees, and A-plus should be prime suspects. NDC will come to power and we will know the truth.
I just don't understand why Ghanaians can allow this Anas guy to fo--ol the entire country including the security officials. I'm not an expect but the way he is behaving is strange. He is a suspect! Anyway, I'm glad the GFA president is gone but Anas' method is questionable.
A plus, you have made wonderful observations and asked important questions. it seems nobody is ready to scrutinise Anas' work and issues people have raised. there are several issues Anas needs to answer but from security to lawyers and to parliament and presidency, no one is ready to engage the public concerning issues about Anas. people gullibly see questioning Anas and his method to mean fight against journalism. Ghana is failing to portray its readiness to ensure fairness and transparency. but the general public who don't have access to media are angry about the seemingly nature of making Anas untouchable even to the extent of sacrificing and scapegoating Ken because Anas is involved. who is raising issues concerning the circumstances that Hafiz died? Anas paid referee Suka to award dubious penalty against kotoko. interestingly, Anas shown may 9 disaster in his video. clearly the link and what Anas did meant what he caused Suka to do cld have resulted in another may 9 but no one sees anything wrong with that. if supporters of kotoko had reacted violently, and led to death, wld he have come out to say I did it because I was investigating corruption?
So happy to hear this from you. Anas is perceived as a semi- god in Ghana. No one touches Anas. Someone working for his private gains and he is supposed to do anything?
