Ghana’s Emmanuel Nartey, would participate in the 2018 Judo World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The championships fixed for 20-27 September in the European country, is for both individuals and mixed teams.
Nartey, confirmed his participation in the championship through his official social media handle on Friday, August 3.
The judoka expressed appreciation to the Ghana Judo Association (GJA) and it leadership for supporting his campaign in the championship.
Nartey, was a member of Team Ghana in the 2012 Olympic Games in London and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
He has over the years participated in several international championships and would be seeking to use the World Championship to build his profile ahead of the next Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
