Former GHALCA chairman Alhaji Ali Raji has ripped into the head of the two-man liaison team tasked to run football, claiming Dr Kofi Amoah lacks understanding of the current situation bedeviling the game in the country.
The business mogul held a meeting with members of the Ghana League Clubs Association at the Alisa hotel, in the Ghanaian capital, Accra on Monday.
The two-member committee appointed by FIFA and CAF met with the clubs to get first hand information on the current state of the game in the West African nation.
But former GHALCA chairman, Alhaji Ali Raji, who attended the meeting, insists the businessman is not on top of issues.
“Some of the utterances from Dr. Amoah clearly shows that he is not on top of football issues. He is too academical, he needs to know the realities on the ground,” he told Happy FM
“Why should he say that clubs should stop selling their players outside and also refer the GFA as erstwhile GFA. Has the association been dissolved? I think he needs serious guidance, people must help him,”
“Dr. Amoah looks more government inclined, he has to know that he is not wearing government attire. He was appointed by FIFA and not government so he must not always speak in favor of the government."
Ghana football has been thrown into turmoil after an investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas revealed widespread corruption in the game.
Several top officials and referees were caught in the cross-fire allegedly taking cash to influence decisions.
The widely publicized exposé has brought the game on its knees as government attempt to dissolve the Ghana Football Association.
FIFA and CAF have appointed Ghanaian duo Dr Kofi Amoah and Francis Oti Akenteng to supervise the country's engagement in international assignments.

What does he mean by "not being on top of football issues"? What has he done since he is on top of the issues? What did he do when the laws were changed to make the "President" do all the appointments to any position? should the govt allow the so called owners of the clubs and their cohorts destroy an industry that can provide jobs for millions of the populace? Check the facts from Russia!!! What had happened to all the funds that were given to Black stars from the GNPC sponsorship? Did "Alhaji" complained about the rot that was going on with Ghana football. Wouldnt he be proud if Ghana was part of the global showpiece on-going in Russia? Please "Alhaji" assist with the knowledge that made you on top of Ghana football to make the system that you had destroyed since you were part of the set up, to work for the enjoyment and employment of Ghanaians(FUUULLLL STOP)
Look at the arrogance of the so-called football people. If they keep behaving this way after the massive rot uncovered, we are going to boycott all football games if they will have the players to sell. Afterall we are content with the foreign league. They should stop the arrogance and court sympathy or else they will find empty stadia.
What do you mean by football issues? Where did you learn football issues yourself. The rot needs to be uprooted once and for all. Please let the team that has been recognised by FIFA, CAF and the Government of Ghana work to restore our football to its known standard and glory.
