Nigerias U-23 team will pitch camp in Ghana to round-off their preparations towards the final qualifiers for the 2012 Olympic Games, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The decision was reached during a meeting between the teams coach Austin Eguavoen and the Nigeria Football Federations Technical Committee on Tuesday.
Thus a 25-man squad is expected to arrive in Accra on Sunday with the foreign legions joining thereafter to begin the preparations.
Turkey or Portugal had been Eguavons preferred destination for the camp but those options had to be dropped following uncertainties surrounding the acquisition of traveling visas on such short notice.
Nigeria is one of eight teams battling for three automatic spots to represent Africa in next years games in London in a tournament which starts from November 26.
The Dream Team, historic Olympic Gold medallists in 1996 are drawn in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Senegal and Algeria.
