An unnamed Ghanaian company is on the verge of sealing a deal to supply fruit drinks at next years Africa Cup of Nations, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The deal is made possible following a solo exhibition held by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) after Ghanas President, John Atta-Mills had paved the way in his visit to Equatorial Guinea in 2010.
The firm (name withheld) are said to be in advanced discussions with the appointing authorities in Equatorial Guinea to finalize the deal which could see Ghana benefit substantially off-the-pitch in a tournament it aims to win.
If confirmed, it will be the second consecutive time a Ghanaian company will be winning a foreign contract related to the Nations Cup.
Waste management company Zoomlion was the first to win such a contract to tidy up one of the venues during the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.
