Dutchman Hans Van der Plyum has rubbished reports that he labelled the Ghana FA racists after he was snubbed for a national team job.
The 62-year-old was not considered for the national Under-20 team after he applied for the vacant job.
The FA snubbed all the expatriate coaches who applied for national teams jobs as the mantle fell to Orlando Wellington.
Plyum, who is married to a Ghanaian, and has two kids for over decade says the reports are well wide off the mark
He told GHANAsoccernet.com: What I said has been taken out of context because I didnt not say such thing.
There is no truth in the matter and Im disappointed how it has been treated. I said the FA had their choices and they went for them.
After all, its their prerogative to determine who they want for which national team.
If they felt they had to give it to someone else, so be it. I am now here at Chelsea and my job is to concentrate and make an impact at this wonderful club.
Van der Plyum was on Monday appointed coach of Ghanaian champions Berekum Chelsea.
