Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has denied suggestions that he is the star man of the Togo team at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The 28-year-old has been the talisman of the Sparrow Hawks at the tournament since returning from a self-imposed exile.
Adebayor set up Togo's goal in the 1-1 with Tunisia which secured a historic qualification to the quarter-final on Wednesday.
"One may be a star in Europe but when I arrive in in the national team, this is set aside and I give everything to the team. I'm not above the others," Adebayor told RFI in an interview.
"Football is played with eleven players and if I start to play the star, it will not help me and the country.
"Yes, it is true that they respect me as captain and in relation to my career, but this is what I want to share with my teammates up.
"The most important thing is that it goes well between us.
