The Cottagers boss has permitted the Ghana international to hold loan talks with the Hornets as he chases after enough first team experience ahead of the World Cup in Brazil.
Fulham boss Rene Meulenseen has hinted that Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng will be moving to Watford on loan.
The 30-year-old has become a bench warmer since his move from Dnipro and with the World Cup fast approaching, he is after game time to catch the eye of Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.
Derek has a chance to go to the World Cup, so we've allowed him to speak to Watford, Meleunsteen.
The midfielder who featured for Ghana in their previous two World Cup campaigns needs to get more playing time and come good before he can make the squad for the Mundial.
