Reports in the local media indicate that Accra Hearts of Oak have served their head coach Mohammed Polo with a query over the unsavoury comments made towards referee J.A Amenya after his sides' 3-1 loss to Liberty Professionals at the Dansoman Park on Sunday.
The club legend has been recently attacking match officials blaming the men in black for contributing to the Phobians poor run in the league.
Referees Fred Andoh, Seidu Bomison have all been slated by the Hearts of Oak manager in recent weeks with the latest attack on J.A Amenya.
Polo will face the rap of the Hearts of Oak hierarchy who are unhappy with the trend.
They (GFA) need to talk to them (referees). They have to preserve their integrity. They have an important role to play in football. Its just unfortunate. This is not a match we should have lost, Coach Polo was quoted as saying in a post-match interview.
Sources close to Hearts of Oak say the club will ask Coach Polo to stay away from media interviews in the coming days.
