Accra Hearts of Oak defeated Medeama SC 1-0 in a pre-season friendly game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The match which was used as a warm up game for both teams ahead of the upcoming First Capital plus premier League was full of thrills and excitements.
Newly recruit Kwame Kizito got the only goal of the game after beating Medeama defender Kofi Agyare to slot the ball past goalkeeper Foli Adade in the 22nd minute.
Hearts who had dominated the entire first 45 minutes failed to capitalize on the numerous opportunities that fell their way with Togolese import Foovi Kwoomi Aguidi being the culprit.
The second half of the game was entirely dominated by the Takwa lads who were also prevented by the goalkeeper Soulama Abdulai in post for Hearts.
Hearts take on Medeama in the return encounter next week at the Takwa T&A Park.
