Former Black Stars skipper Stephen Leroy Appiah will on Wednesday 13th May, pay a courtesy call on former Ghana leader Jerry John Rawlings at his Ridge residence to formally invite him to his dinner and testimonial match slated for 26th and 27th of June respectively.
The former Juventus and Fenerbahce midfielder has already called on another ex president John Agyekum Kuffuor and has served notice to former millitary leader that his entourage will be at his Ridge residence on Wednesday to express his gratitude to the charismatic ex president as well as officially invite him to grace the occasion.
The testimonial match which is being organized by Primeval Media is being used by the former Juventus star to thank his fans for their support after announcing his retirement from football.
Appiah is best remembered for his selflessness and immense leadership skills that saw the Black Stars qualify for its first ever World Cup finals in 2006.
