Black Stars captain and Shanghai SIPG forward, Asamoah Gyan, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the President, John Dramani Mahama, on the death of his mother.
Abiba Nnaba, the President’s 85 year old mother, passed away late on Tuesday.
With the spread of the sad news, the President has been receiving condolences fromprominent public figures, as well a shocked populace, who have been hit with this out of the blue.
In a post on twitter, Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan expressed his grief at the untimely passing.
“Game day but my heartfelt condolence to the President @JDMahama, the family n Ghana on the death of “Mami”.. mothers cannot be replaced…” he wrote.
Nnaba is set to be buried late Wednesday, in line with Islamic tradition.
