Asante Kotoko are looking forward to avenge their President Cup defeat to Hearts of Oak when the two sides clash on July 1.
Ghana’s two most glamorous Clubs will scuffle out in yet another President Cup match at the Accra Sports Stadium to commemorate the country’s Republic day celebration.
Kotoko lost on penalties the last time to two sides met in the President Cup.
The Reds are hoping to beat their sworn rivals to win their fourth annual Republic day cup having won the trophy in 2004, 2005 and 2008.
“We lost to Hearts the last time and we are coming for revenge this time,” General Manager Opoku told the media at the launch on Wednesday.
“We won’t allow them to beat us two-time on a row so we will be coming like 'Kaikai' this time around.
Accra Hearts of Oak who have already lost to Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League will be hoping to avoid a second defeat to their perennial rivals this year.
