The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Ottor Plaha has debunked reports that Black Stars bonuses have been increased from $8000 to $12000 insisting they are false and frivolous.
According to him, the Ministry is financially sick to undertake such a venture adding they will even love the bonus to go down.
Speaking to hanasoccernet.com in an interview, he said “It is false. We even want it down because the bonus issue is increasingly becoming a problem. “
“So treat those reports as lies. As far as I am concerned, there is nothing truthful about such news,” he added.
He concluded by saying that it will even be insane to take such a position haven’t convinced the players to reduce the earlier bonus from $10,000 to $8000.
“You know our financial stand already. We discussed with the players to reduce the bonus from $10,000 to $8000, so why would we increase it again?
The reports have been rubbished by the Ghana FA earlier.
