Ghana defeated Gambia 2-0 in the second leg of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier.
The Black Maidens progressed to the final round of qualifiers having ejected their Gambian counterparts 7-1 on aggregate.
Nina Norshie broke the deadlock for Ghana in the 85th minute before captain Mukarama Abdulai added the second in additional time as the Maidens cruised into the next face of qualifiers.
Gambia, who had lost heavily at their own backyard look to have corrected some mistakes in the first leg match as they held the Black Maidens to a goalless draw in the first half.
The West Africans had to succumb to the pressure in the second half by conceding two late goals.
Ghana will now play Djibouti who drew by after Tunisia had pulled out of the qualifiers.
