The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has begun sensitizing MDAs and MMDAs in the Volta Region towards implementing the Electronic-Salary Pay Voucher (E-SPV) system in the Region.

The system is also being implemented with the remaining nine regions in the country, a release from the Volta Region Directorate of the CAGD signed by Mr Moses Akagla, Regional Director, has said.

It said the E-SPV, an electronic version of the salary payment voucher, must be validated through the internet before salaries are paid.

The release said the E-SPV allows for easy and timely validation and submission of salary payment vouchers online to the CAGD before salaries are paid”.

Under the slogan “no validation, no salary”, salaries will be processed for MDAs and MMDAs in the Region, only after they have been validated and certified by a ‘pre-list of persons and salaries sent to them by the CAGD” every month, the release said.
