I have observed the governance of our dear country Ghana by the Mills led government from far away China.

I had the opportunity to live through the management of our country by the whole time of Rawlings' rule and most part of the reign of J. A Kufour. Unfortunately, I have not been to Ghana since Mills took over from Kufour.

But with certain happenings as I read and listen daily by the magic of the Internet on certain sites, Peacefmonline, adomfmonline, myjoyonline, Kessbenfmonline, Ghana today, Ghanaweb, facebook, modernghana and others, I have come to some level of conclusion which I would like to share with my fellow Ghanaians.

Apart from extrovert temperament charisma, J. J. Rawlings is way below J. A Kuffour. But today's focus is comparison between Mills and Kufour. I often hear or read the much touted slogans of 'asomdwehene (man of peace), unifier or father for all, competent, not corrupt, humble man, christian, truthful man, etc' by the failed propagadists of Mills, the likes Kwasi Pratt, Allotey Jacobs, Richard Quashigah, Ama Benyiwa Doe, Fiifi Kwetey, Ablakwah, Kojo Twum Boafo, Tony Aidoo, Stan Dodge, Felix Quakye, Omani Boamah etc. Let's just consider few issues why Mills is not as they would like the whole world to believe he is.

Peace:

Under Mills government, the issue of fool (foot) soldiers going on rampage since the beginning of his reign till date is one issue which has made his reign so volatile taking some panic decisions and later try to just with spin doctors at their wits end. I don't remember such coward actions under Kufour.

Truthfulness:

This is the man who made who lot of promises including the infamous phrase 'I WILL REDUCE FUEL PRICES DRASTICALLY WHEN I COME.' but what did Ghanaians get from him? drastic increases. Ya Naa tape was a big campaign issue used by the Mills campaign team, not knowing they were all lying, in that they had no such compelling tape to use to find the Ya Naa killers and only deceived the innocent and good people of the Dagbon.

Unifier and father for all:

Under Mills, if you go through the appointments he has made and the few development projects so far, you can see clearly that, they are skewed towards certain tribes and regions, can this unify Ghana? look at the reshuffles he did and judge for yourself. The worst of it all, his actions has brought sharp and irreparable cracks and divisions in the NDC. It's not only by actions, but he stated this issues clearly in his first meeting with the press that if you don't share his visions, he can't work with you.

Ghana is not an Island, but the 'unifier' made that infamous statement, 'dzi wo fie asem' to mean Ghana was not prepared to help Ivory Coast out the time they needed us most.

Kuffour and even Rawlings were made ECOWAS chairmen during their terms, with Kuffour rising to become the AU chairman. I bet you, silently Mills has been sidelined by the various regional bodies and would never become ECOWAS Chairman during his term. wait and see.

Humility:

Mills behaves like the chameleon, he and his sycophants say he is humble, but his actions and some utterances show otherwise. The humble man gave himself high marks while everybody knew he was lying. Kuffour admitted publicly that being in power and in government was completely different and so he apologised for his unfulfilled promises, but Mills who has been in government before continue to taut his performances which only sycophants would support him. When Kuffour was asked to judge Mills performance so far, he said the people of Ghana are the best judges, which I agree with him. But Mills said all kinds of negative things about Kuffour when he was asked similar questions few years ago.

Competence:

I remember Mills press conference during Kuffour's term describing Kuffour as incompetent, but with so many try and errors by Mills, it shows clearly his incompetence.

Not corrupt:

Under Kuffour, classroom block projects which were costing around 85,000 GHC, now under Mills with all the propaganda single digit inflation, similar projects are now around 270,000 GHC, if this is not corruption, then what else? don't also forget about the conflict of interests by many of his cronies like Asiedu Nketia on the Bui Dam project. What has he said about them? He keeps screaming,' I would jail Kuffour's men' what is he waiting for?

Christian:

Christianity is not about words alone, but more of good deeds, but with Mills, it's a false claim. This man admonishes people to stop insulting others, looks on unconcern when his own men and women insult others, just few days he gives those admonishings.

With these few examples and others you know, it's crystal clearly that there is much difference between Mills and Kuffour.
