The Kumasi Polytechnic has been selected among five academic institutions to benefit from a grant of $ 2.5 million to research into how Ghana can pursue technological development.
The 30 month project is expected to begin in January next year through to the 30th of June 2016.
The other top ranking institutions selected to undertake the project are the University of Ghana, Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and Ghana Technology University College.
The Rector of Kumasi Polytechnic, Professor Nicholas Nsowah-Nuamah announced this at the 9th Congregation of the Polytechnic.
