The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum says the government will soon be introducing ''Open Universities'' in the country.
The Open University, he said, is part of President Nana Addo's vision to enhance the development of the education sector.
According to him, the Open University project will soon commence.
It is aimed at providing opportunity to Ghanaian students to use their computers to study whereever they are.
The motivation behind this initiative is to make higher education accessible to all people no matter where you are.
'We have something we call the Open University. It's a University that we shall open across the country so as to provide and give the opportunity to learn using their computer. The President also says vocational skills is pertinent to the country's development, this is why we have introduced TVET," Hon. Adutwum said in an interview on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme on Monday.
