Nana Adepa Support St. Rose's SHS with Food Items To Support Girl Child Education

The Kyidomhene of Akyem Tafo, also the CEO of Orbit Doyag groups of companies Nana Adepa Amponsah Yeboah I through her Foundation thus Nana Adepa Development Foundation (NADF) has extended her benevolent support to St. Rose's Girls Senior High School at Akyem Akwatia in the Denkyembour District of the Eastern Region by donating some food items to support Girl Child Education and complement government's effort regarding food supply to second cycle institutions in the country.

The introduction of the Free Senior High School policy has increased students population in senior high schools in Ghana, this means that supply of foods needs to be intensified to adequately meet students demand in order to prevent food shortage in senior high institutions.

It is in the light of this that the Nana Adepa Development Foundation which was launched on 22nd October, 2022 as part of it cooperate social responsibilities reached out by donating food items to ameliorate a possible event of food shortage in St. Roses Senior High School.

Speaking in an Peace fm news reporter Michael Akrofi after donating to the school, the Founder of the foundation, Nana Adepa Amponsah Yeboah I said "after launching my foundation in October, I decided to do something to help , so I chose St. Roses because we all know that the feeding of our children in senior high schools has not been the best sometime now, but as a caring mother who is much interested in the education of women, I decided to donate 50 bags of rice , 200 creates of fresh eggs and 3 large size gallons of vegetables cooking oil to support the students to have sound minds towards Academic work because if, we are able to help the children in this regard the teachers will also feel happy to teach our children very well"

Nana Amponsah Adepa Yeboah I added "If God permit I will not relent , I will extend it to other schools but I also encourage individuals, NGO and other philanthropist to come to the aid of our children because education is a shared responsibility which should not be left in the hands of only government" she explained.

Meanwhile, the Headmistress of the school, Madam Mariam Esi Jackson denied the report that there is food shortage in the school despite a higher students population of 2,200 but however called on others to emulate the example of Nana Adepa Amponsah Yeboah I.

She explained again that, "Nana Adepa Amponsah Yeboah I, has set the pace and crave your indulgence of parents to emulate the kind gesture of Nana Adepa by all joining hands to bring something to support their wards, it will be very appropriate and dully be appreciated.

She stressed "there is food but not to their expectations, government brings foods but the children want more than that".

She further thanked Nana Adepa Amponsah Yeboah I, and promised that the donated items will be used for it intended purpose.

Some of the students showered blessings on Nana Adepa Amponsah Yeboah I and said they feel relieved now. Since they were stressed up and finds it difficult to go on their normal studies anytime there is food shortage in the school.

They however called on their parents and individuals benevolents to support senior high schools with respect to food supply to complement the government Free Senior High Education Policy.
