Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Frank Asare, Nkawkaw Divisional Police Commander, has appealed to the Kwahu North District Assembly to establish two police stations at Akye-Amanfrom and Maame Krobo to provide security for the large number of traders and commuters.
ACP Asare made the appeal through the Ghana News Agency after a two-day visit to the district.
He said a station at Akye-Amanfrom would provide security to traders, farmers and other commuters who patronise the services of a pontoon to undertake their businesses.
The Divisional Commander said Maame Krobo was also a fast growing community with the biggest market in the district, hence the need of a police station to provide security to the people who patronise the facility.
He expressed the necessity for Pepease and Abene communities to have police stations due to the creation of the Kwahu East District with its capital at Abetifi.
