Government has issued a White Paper on the Constitution Review Commissions recommendations for Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives to be elected instead of being appointed.
The President will nominate a minimum of five persons who would be vetted by the Public Services Commission for competence after which three nominees would contest for public elections.
The election of these officials has been topical with many saying that the exercise would be detrimental to the decentralization process.

Mr Osei Kwadwo warned of the possible political lines that can come to the fore.
