Fulani herdsmen who fled trouble areas in neighbouring Burkina Faso are expected to return home next week.
The Fulani herdsmen numbering over one thousand are seeking refuge in the Bawku District due to deadly clashes in their communities across the Ghanaian border.
Speaking to XYZ News, the Bawku West DCE Annaba Adam Moro said an agreement has been reached between the governor of their home country and the Ghanaian authorities to allow them return within the shortest possible time.
He added that calm has returned to their homeland where some several people were killed in the clashes.
