The Upper West Regional Minister, Dr Ephraim Aveah Nsor, has given a strong indication that he will not hesitate to recommend the sanctioning of any security person found to be engaged in the widespread smuggling of subsidised fertiliser from the region to neighbouring Burkina Faso.
He said reports on the ground imply that some security officers over the years, have been facilitating the process by compromising their authority hence, the notoriety and ascendancy of the illegal practice.
Dr Nsor stated this during a meeting with some accredited fertiliser dealers in Wa.
