President John Dramani Mahama has made changes at the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
A letter addressed to the Minister of Finance, Mr Seth Terkpeh from the Chief of Staff, Mr Proper D. K. Bani, named Mr Wallace Kofi Akondor, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, as the acting Commissioner, replacing Mr Isaac Apronti.
It said Mr Frederick Gavor, Assistant Commissioner, takes over as acting Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations, while another Assistant Commissioner, Mr John Vianney Kuudamnura, moves to the headquarters as Head of Imports and Exports.
It also said Mr Osman Dauda, an Assistant Commissioner, had moved from Kumasi to Tema as the Sector Head, while Assistant Commissioner Mr Kofi Toffah moves to Kumasi as Head of that sector.
Mr Melvin Mc-Bruce, an Assistant Commissioner, has been posted to Takoradi as the Sector Head.
The statement requested the Ministry of Finance to take the necessary steps to give effect to the decision.
