Reports reaching Peacefmonline.com indicates that some thieves have raided the Ghana Embassy in Dakar, Senegal.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" programme with host Kwami Sefa Kayi, Kobby an eyewitness and also a Ghanaian businessman in Dakar, disclosed that upon reaching the embassy Friday morning, it was realized the place had been broken into by some thieves.
The thieves reportedly scaled the walls and went through the windows at the Embassy to ransack the place.
According to Kobby, the thieves may have bolted away with some valuable items in the Embassy but the authorities are yet to confirm.
Authorities of the embassy and Security Services at Dakar have begun investigations into the incident.
Meanwhile, a Ghanaian official at the Embassy has confirmed the incident.
According to the official, the Ministry in Accra (Foreign Affairs) had not yet been informed of the incident and Senegalese security agencies had arrived (8:35am) to undertake investigations.
