The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has won the International Quality Summit (IQS) Gold Award for exemplary leadership, quality and excellence.
At an award ceremony held in New York, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Business Initiative Directions (BID), organisers of the awards, Mr Jose E. Prieto, said the decision to present the award to the GETFund was based on a detailed research and analysis, which recognised the contribution of the GETFund to the development of education.
“The final decision to present the IQS award in the Gold Category to Ghana Education Trust Fund has been made by the IQS Selection Committee on the basis of the criteria of the QC100 Total Quality Management Model, which in conjunction with the BID’s Quality Mix Technology, strengthens your position of leadership,” Mr Prieto said.
The IQS of the BID is presented in recognition of companies or organisations in different countries throughout the world that furthered their reputation and position by implementing and promoting quality culture.
Mr Prieto also said the BID accepted quality as a factor of development to becoming more competitive, adding that the GETFund was committed to publicising “this quality culture with employees, suppliers, clients and community”.
