The National Service Personnel’s Association (NASPA), on Monday commended the government for increasing the monthly allowances of service personnel in the country.
Mr Franklin Alale-Asambasi, the Vice President of the Brong-Ahafo Regional branch of NASPA, gave the commendation and admonished personnel to be punctual at work and contribute their part for increased productivity.
He told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Sunyani that service personnel had no justification to roam about during working hours and culprits would be sanctioned.
Mr Alale-Asambasi emphasised that the Association would not defend lazy personnel, and entreated them to work assiduously to justify their monthly allowances.
“We must do our best and work seriously as good citizens and contribute our quota towards accelerated national development,” he added.
