The newly elected National Nasara Co-ordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Abdul Aziz Futa, was part of the Muslim faithful who said the Friday congregational prayer at the Abossey Okai Central Mosque.
It was his first Friday or Jummaa prayers after the NPP conference which brought him to office so he used the occasion to seek the blessing of the cleric.
Alhaji Futa was accompanied by his defeated contestants who had accepted his invitation for the spiritual exercise.
He requested the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, to ask the 13 defeated contestants to join him in carrying out his mandate because he alone would not be able to discharge the task.
The Chief Imam who prayed for him advised him to continue to show respect to others and to be a listening leader even when he is unable to satisfy the requests of the many persons who would come to him with their challenges. Besides, the cleric asked him to be prayerful.
Fourteen (14) persons vied for the position of the National Nasara Co-ordinator of the NPP during the Koforidua conference of the party on Saturday, July 7, 2018.
