The Hon. Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah on Wednesday July 24, received in her office, a delegation from the Multimedia Group led by Mr. A.C Ohene, the senior editor of Adom FM to formally render their profound apology to the Hon. Minister following a recent Adom FM publication which attracted a lot of negative publicity for the Hon. Minister.
Mr. A.C. Ohene stated that the incident was quite unfortunate and an error on the part of Multimedia and Adom FM and wish to assure the Hon. Minister that utmost diligence and care would be observed to forestall any such occurrences in future.
The Acting Chief Director, Mr. Joseph Obeng-Poku, explained that at the time that the Minister received the call, he was with the Hon Minister in a meeting and that the Minister sounded cool and collected. He expressed surprise that it would be reported that the Minister allegedly showed disrespect. This issue according to the Acting Chief Director was not about the lady being an intern, but rather about the due protocols being followed.
The Honorable Minister for her part accepted the apology in good faith and indicated her preparedness to continue to work with Journalists for the good of mother Ghana.
The Senior Editor, Mr. A. C. Ohene reiterated that the Multimedia Group has learnt a lot of lessons from the unfortunate incident and would work hard to ensure a strict adherence to their time tested protocols. He indicated that an apology had already been placed on their websites, Adom FM online and Joy FM online.
The intern, Miss Rahinatu Abdul Bach indicated her admiration for the Hon Minister and considers her as her role model and therefore regrets the incident, and accordingly rendered an unqualified apology to the Honorable Minister who in return offered madam Rahinatu a box of chocolate.
The multi media delegation included; Mr. A.C. Ohene, Senior Editor, Mr. Nii Dowuona News editor and Rahinatu Abdul Bach, an intern.

Its a shame... no wonder journalist are being kicked here and there....
Ignorance is the biggest disease in Ghana. Surprise people are not using their commonsense. First of all, would you be happy if your private number is given to just anybody? Mind you, interns are not part of the organization. They are there for a few months then off. Simply put, you do not give personal numbers out without the owner's approval. Secondly, the minister was recorded without her knowing. She can sue for that. Hope the station is aware of this point. She can sue for spreading what transpired without her permission. In all of the above, multimedia had thrown protocol to the dogs. It is absolutely important to get qualified people with experience to arrange to interview a state official like a minister. If you are ***barred word*** of what I have stated, better don't comment.
Where Ghana is going under nana addo is very interesting. Even when they are wrong, the one they are wronged is forced to apologize or change her story. The same thing happened when one journalist was tortured at National Security and later came and said he wasn't tortured. The dishonest and deceptive tendencies of this government is so clear and glaring. GOD SAVE GHANA.
You're very ***barred word*** to say the least. Were you there when it happened? Was it not multimedia who reported it? Why attack the minister, when they who reported the case has found out that they made a mistake in their reporting and have duly apologize? Why do some people have so much hate in their life? Chill small my brother
Apologize for what? She rather has to apologize. Who does she think she is? A mere mortal like everyone else...including the so called intern she looked down upon. We claim we want to develop the youth yet we allow such people into leadership positions. Even the president of US grants kids as young as 10 years interview how much more a mere incompetent minister occupying such a uselesssssss ministry. She should take her frustration and demand for unwarranted respect to those making the city dirty and stop shifting the focus. And to multimedia too...stop the unnecessary 'azz' kissing. What she did was wrong...no need to apologize. If she can't stand being interviewed by an Ghanaian in relation to the office she is occupying, she should take a hike. We're tired of these politicians thinking they're God. Mtcheeeewwwww!!!!!
Ah, what fawning and groveling is this??!! Boot lickers and buttock watchers!!!
KINGDOM YOU AND YOUR KIND OF BITTER BEINGS CAN GO BURN THE LA SEA FOR ALL WE CARE WAI.
multimedia well done, madam cecelia thanks for accepting the apology. this is beautiful
