For his exploits in the medical profession and impact on society, Archbishop Prof. Dr. Asafo-Agyei Anane Frempong, Chief Executive Officer of the Asafo-Agyei hospital-Kumasi has been awarded as one of the Pillars of Modern Ghana.
Archbishop Prof. Dr. Asafo-Agyei Anane Frempong was cited for his invaluable contributions to the health sector of the country and Africa as a whole.
He is known as the first Ghanaian to qualify as an expert in the non-surgical treatment of piles in 1991. As an anointed man of God and founder of the Great Eternal Harvest International Ministry in Kumasi, he is also a proud recipient of the International man of the year 1991, 1992 and International man of achievement for 1993 and 1994 conferred on him by the International Biographical Centre (IBC) UK” and many other local and international awards.
The Pillars of Modern Ghana Awards which was held at The Tulip Hotel, Shiashie, last week is instituted to recognize those (personalities or establishments) that have contributed to make modern Ghana what it is today. It is organized annually by The New Ghanaian Magazine, one of the most widely circulated corporate magazines in the country which has been in circulation for the past 13 years.
Speaking in an interview after receiving the award, Archbishop Prof. Dr. Asafo-Agyei Anane Frempong described the feat as a continuous call to serve humanity as established by God. “It is indeed a great joy to see people from all walks of life come to the Asafo-Agyei hospital to get cure for piles. We charge very low as compared to other parts of the world and also boast of a recurring rate as low as 4% after treatment”
This global recognition means people have realized the impacts we have made across the world and I believe this will serve as a motivation for us to keep on doing more to fulfill God’s will.
Archbishop Prof. Dr. Asafo-Agyei Anane Frempong seized the occasion to call on people suffering from the Piles (Kooko) to visit the Asafo-Agyei hospital located at Daaban-Kumasi for free piles screening.
