The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, is launching the second phase of a project to provide housing for constituents who were displaced by the spillage of the Akosombo dam.
The Member of Parliament has built structures to accommodate 300 of the affected individuals.
On Saturday, February 10, 2024, Mr Ablakwa announced on social media that the project would be inaugurated by former President John Dramani Mahama.
"All is set for today’s commissioning by H.E. John Mahama of the North Tongu MP & Partners Safe Alternative Housing Project which will house another 300 VRA spillage victims.
Glory be to God and our amazing partners for what we have achieved after 7 weeks of construction.
I shall keep my pledge of leaving no spillage victim behind.
In this together, rising together. 🇬🇭 🙏🏾"
