The Civil and Local Government Staff Association (CLOGSAG) has served notice to its members to embark on Strike effective 3rd July, 2024 if the government fails to implement the new salary structure which was signed in a memorandum of understanding in January 2022 to take effect in 1st January 2023.
The neutrality allowance was to be paid to staff of the Civil and Local Government Service at a rate of 20 percent on 1st January 2022 and other other condition of services which have been delayed up till now.
Speaking to Peace FM News, the Executive Secretary for the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Dr Isaac Bampoe Addo stated that the effective date to implement this new salary structure has been delayed for one and half years.
He stated that the association alerted the government to go on Nationwide strike on 21st June last month but the government did not do anything about it.
He said until the Government heed to his promise to the Association, the Association has directed its members and executives to stay home and not come to work till further notice.
