Compassion International Ghana, a non-governmental organization (NGO), implementing the Faith Community Baptist Church Child Needy Programme, is offering free tuition, medical services and accommodation for 270 needy children at Madina up to university level.
The Reverend Andy Simpson, Coordinator of the NGO, disclosed this to Ghana News Agency in an interview in Accra on Thursday.
He said the NGO would extend the programme to 38 communities including Nima, Mamobi, Mamprobi, Kaneshie, Adenta, Fafraha, Teiman, Oyarifa, and Oyibi in the Greater Accra Region.
He said the NGO would provide the communities with boreholes to improve the living conditions of the people.
Rev. Simpson called on Ghanaians to have compassion for the needy in the society.
